My name is Krista. Welcome to my blog! It’s my little corner of the internet to share my musings and ponderings as I attempt to embrace the quiet life.
Over the last two years since I married this fire-fighter husband of mine, I’ve come to realize that I love life in the simple things. A good home-cooked dinner. Watching a movie together in our living room as we relax during an occasional evening we both have free. Turning fruits into jams and jellies. Reading a good book. A walk out in the gorgeous countryside of New England.
In a world that grows more and more fast-paced, it is more difficult to slow down and enjoy the little things. And in a world that can be more focused on doing instead of being, I struggle with finding grace for myself when I struggle and make mistakes.
This is about my journey to find grace, compassion, hope and encouragement for myself and others as we strive in a busy world, but try to find strength in the simplest things of life:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
– Matthew 11:28-30
